About Mobadger Land
Mobadger Land was founded on April 27, 2002 as a personal and family website during the early years of the modern internet. At a time when most websites were simple hand-built pages and social media did not yet exist, Mobadger Land served as a place for writing, humor, commentary, and personal reflection.
The site was created and maintained by members of the Williams family and reflects a long interest in technology, programming, writing, and internet culture. Over the years Mobadger Land has remained a small independent corner of the web — a reminder of an earlier era when personal websites were common and individuals built and maintained their own digital spaces.
While many early websites disappeared as the internet evolved, Mobadger Land has continued online for more than two decades. Its continued presence reflects both the early spirit of the internet and a commitment to maintaining an independent voice on the web.

The Mobadger Icon
The Mobadger icon used throughout the site was adapted from the well-known Bucky Badger mascot associated with the University of Wisconsin. The symbol reflects the family’s historical roots in Wisconsin, where the founders and their children were born and raised before later moving to other parts of the world.
The Mobadger version of the badger was modified and adapted by S.G. Williams for use on this website. The design serves as a visual link to the family’s origins and history in the American Midwest.
Bucky Badger and related marks are associated with the University of Wisconsin–Madison and remain their intellectual property. The Mobadger icon is an independent adaptation created for this personal website and is used here in a historical and descriptive context.
Information regarding the age of the site and early internet history references was compiled in 2025 using archived records and historical domain information.
